Miss Aramide Da -Silva representing Ireshe, an area in Aga Ward, Ikorodu, has taken over from Miss Blessing Olawunmi Otayomi, as Miss Ikorodu.
Aramide was crowned as Miss Ikorodu 2025/26 at the beauty pageant held at the Ikorodu Town Hall on Wednesday, as part of the youth activities of the ongoing 34th Ikorodu -Oga Celebration that is organised by the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS).
Victoria Adigun representing Ayangbure Road axis, emerged as first runner – up and also crowned as Miss Ikorodu Tourism, while Miss Victoria Odejimi representing Aga was the second runner – up and doubled as Miss Ikorodu Culture.

Miss Gberigbe, Miss Alogba and Miss Solomade emerged in the 4th, 5th and 6th positions respectively.
During the opening sequence by the contestants, the outgone Miss Ikorodu, Queen Blessing Olawunmi Otayomi, stepped on stage with her crown and gave each of the contestants’ pecks on their cheeks while holding the crown, which signified end of an era and gave a charge to them to strive to emerge the winner that will succeed her.
Contestants also engaged in beautiful cultural performance, fashion parade, stage walk and traditional interpretation and appearance in dinner wear after which they were reduced to 10 from the initial 17.

What followed were questions and answers sessions (Yoruba and English), royal outing and selection of winners.
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Kabir Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu and his queen, Olori Kudirat Shotobi, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya, the Asiwaju of Ibeshe Kingdom, Alhaji Monzor Olowoshago, Hon. Ameen Apanisile, Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Mayor Muhuydeen Sanwoola, Executive Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Parks, Mr Sesan Odueyigbo, former Chairmanship aspirant, Ikorodu North LCDA graced the occasion.
